Fall 2010 Story Time Registration Begins
Registration for the Fall 2010 Story Time Sessions opens Tuesday, September 7th at all 6 public libraries in Muskingum County. The 8 week sessions run the week of September 13th through the week of November 1st. Preschool Story Time for children ages 3 1/2 to 5 is offered at John McIntire Library as well as at the Branch Libraries in Dresden, Duncan Falls/Philo, New Concord and Roseville. John McIntire Library also offers Baby Story Time for infants up to 24 months old, Toddler Story Time for children 2 to 3 1/2 years old and Bedtime Story Time for children ages 2 to 5 years old. Registration is required, limited and free of charge. Contact the library where you are interested in participating for more information and to register.

Book Discussion - "Water Stone Heart"
Author Will North writes the story of newly divorced Andrew Stratton and his efforts to escape the predictable routine of his university life as he channels his pain into a weeklong course on building stone walls. Buck A Bag of Books Sale
Doors to the lower level will open at 10:15 a.m. Those interested in this great sale purchase bags from the Friends of the Muskingum County Library System for $1.00 a bag and then are welcome to fill the bags with a wide selection of gently used books. This sale is open to the public. Proceeds from the sale are donated to the Muskingum County Library System to support library resources, materials and programs.

Stamping Basics - The Ease and Elegance of Embossing with Tami Black
The fabulous Tami Black is back to lead this hands-on class where participants will learn several different embossing techniques. Each participant will create and take home 3 cards using some of the techniques they have learned. Class size is limited to 10 participants and there is an $8.00 fee to cover the cost of materials. Homeschool Open House
This year's open house will feature a book exchange and information booths on Language Arts (Doug Swift), Science and Math (Steve/Chrystal Porinchok), and Notifications, Assessments and Portfolios (Kendra Plants). There will be seperate activities for the kids, as well as some of our youth's work from the previous year on display. Many experienced homeschoolers find this event a morale booster for leaping into the new year as they help newer homeschoolers find there bearings.
