Students in grades 1-5 are invited to read and learn about Kaya, an adventurous Nez Perce girl growing up in 1764. Her love of horses and respect for nature nourish her spirit. Registered participants will be loaned a copy of the book. Registration is requested, limited and free of charge. Kalman Tinka, a naturalist from Blue Rock State Park, will join us for a fun filled after school adventure where we will learn basic wilderness navigation using a compass and map.
