Your library collection includes over 300,000 books for your enjoyment, enrichment, education and entertainment. New adult fiction may be borrowed for 2 weeks. All other print materials may be borrowed for 4 weeks. Browse the titles and curl up with a Good Read!

Music
Listen to the music! Nearly 10,000 Music CDs for children, teens and adults are available at your public library and may be borrowed for 2 weeks.

The library has over 1,200 CD Roms – over 400 for adults and 800 for youth – and you may borrow them for 2 weeks. Don’t buy them. Borrow them!

DVDs and Videos
It’s show time at your 6 public libraries! The library system has nearly 23,000 DVDs and videos for children and adults. Fiction may be borrowed for 1 week, Non Fiction for 4 weeks. You pop the popcorn. We’ll supply the movie!

NetLibrary Downloadable Audio Books
Love to listen to books? Click here to review a collection of eAudiobooks by popular authors you can download. You can listen to the downloaded book for 2 weeks! Be sure to create a free NetLibrary account before downloading.
Magazines and Newspapers
The library subscribes to over 125 magazines and newspapers. The current issue of magazines can be enjoyed in the library. Other issues may be checked out for up to 2 weeks.
Online Book Clubs
Join our Online Book Clubs and start reading books in your e-mail. Give us 5 minutes each day, Monday through Friday, we’ll send you a portion of a chapter to read. After you’ve read 2 or 3 complete chapters from a book, we’ll start sending you a new book.
If you’d like to finish a book, stop by the library and pick up a copy. Every week we feature new books.

TumbleBooks
Listen and read along with TumbleBooks!
TumbleBooks are animated, talking picture books which teach kids the joy of reading in a format they’’ love. TumbleBooks are created by taking picture books, adding animation, sound, music and narration to produce an electronic picture books which you can read, or have read to you.
Dial A Story
Call your library and hear a different story each week. Dial A Story invites young people to enjoy a 4 minute story told by a professional story teller. Dial in for a story 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call 740/455.6933.

Ohio Libraries Share
Can’t find what you are looking for in the Muskingum County Library System collection? Click on Ohio Libraries Share. This gives you the ability to search for and request materials from other libraries in Ohio. It will not allow you to request materials included in the Muskingum County Library System collection. Further, most often new books are not available through Ohio Libraries Share.
Genealogy Library
The Muskingum County Genealogical Society Library is located on the second level of John McIntire Library. The Genealogy Library is operated by volunteers of the Genealogical Society. For more information about the Genealogy Library, the organization, and their publications click on www.rootsweb.com or call 740/453.0391, ext. 139. The general hours of operation of the Genealogy Library are:
Monday, Friday – 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Wednesday – 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday – 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
